About The Gamma Brief
A daily intelligence system for SPX options traders who want a clear answer before the open.
What It Is
The Gamma Brief delivers a single daily signal — GO, CAUTION, or WAIT — designed for SPX options traders running credit spreads, iron butterflies, and other premium-selling strategies. It's built for pre-market preparation and end-of-day review, not real-time alerts.
The Experiment
The Gamma Brief is an ongoing experiment in AI-driven market intelligence. The goal: leverage a layered generative AI pipeline to reliably capture live market data, economic events, and structural mechanics — then distill it all into accurate, actionable briefings delivered before the open, after the close, and ahead of each week.
What You Get
Every trading session, GEXLOG computes a set of data points you will not find packaged together anywhere else. The raw options chain is processed into actionable structure before the bell rings.
Dealer Positioning, Decoded
The core of GEXLOG is gamma exposure (GEX) calculated from the nearest-expiration SPXW options chain. This tells you whether market makers will be buying dips and selling rallies (positive gamma) or chasing price in both directions (negative gamma). You get the regime classification, the exact flip point where the regime would change, and how close the market is to that threshold.
Levels That Come From Options, Not Trendlines
Put Wall, Call Wall, and Expected Move are derived from where dealer hedging activity is concentrated. These are not chart patterns or technical indicators. They represent price levels where institutional hedging flows create real buying or selling pressure.
A Signal That Grades Itself
Every morning brief includes a GO, CAUTION, or WAIT signal for premium-selling strategies. Every evening brief grades the prior session's call as CORRECT, PARTIAL, or MISS using automated logic: did the levels hold? Did price stay inside expected move? The 10-day scorecard publishes the running accuracy. No cherry-picking, no retroactive edits.
Context, Not Just Numbers
Regime streaks, calendar risk scoring, gap analysis against 20-day rolling distributions, and dual-model AI narratives (Claude + Gemini) that explain what the numbers mean for today's session. The AI receives pre-computed facts as input; it structures the narrative but never calculates data.

Why It's Built This Way
All analysis is pre-generated before market open — no live API calls when you load the page. Fast loads, consistent data, no surprises mid-session. Premium-selling strategies reward preparation over speed, and that philosophy drives every design decision.
It's a system that's still evolving, and early adopters have been essential to shaping it. If you have ideas on how to make it better, we want to hear them — send us your feedback.
